We are pleased to welcome to the OHLA Family, Luciana Calixto who will be in charge of student services in our location in Tampa.
Luciana is from São Paulo, Brazil, and started teaching when she was only 16 years old. She believes she has inherited her mother’s gift, who was a dedicated and passionate teacher.
Luciana has been working in the field of language education for over 30 years as an English Teacher, Pedagogical Coordinator, Academic Leader, and International Education Advisor in Brazil.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Language and Literature with Specialization in Portuguese and English, and a postgraduate degree in Education Management.
In 2019, Luciana moved to Tampa, FL, to pursue a graduate degree and enhance her educational background. In 2020, she received her master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Teaching English Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at University of South Florida.
Luciana expresses she is honored to be part of the OHLA family, and she intends to continue in broadening her expertise and knowledge in the fields of international education, education for ELL (English language learners), student affairs, personnel management, and project management.
